“Little Hearts” promises a relatable story for everyone – Producers Aditya Hasan & Sai Krishna

Starring Mauli Tanuj of “90s Middle Class Biopic” fame and Shivani Nagaram of “Ambajipeta Marriage Band” fame, the upcoming film “Little Hearts” is directed by Sai Marthand under the banner of ETV Win Originals. Produced by director Aditya Hasan along with Sai Krishna, the film is being presented theatrically by Bunny Vas and Vamsi Nandipati. Little Hearts is gearing up for a grand theatrical release on September 5.

Producer Aditya Hasan said: “When I first heard the story of Little Hearts, I immediately felt it was the kind of narrative I connect with. It’s a story everyone can relate to. There are two types of stories, those that show what we aspire to do, and those that reflect what we have actually experienced. Little Hearts belongs to the latter category. While watching, the audience will recall their own lives and smile, saying ‘this is exactly how it happened with me.’

It’s a fun teenage love story, not a serious or twist-heavy one. It portrays the immaturity of young love, in a pleasant and entertaining way. There’s no message-driven agenda here. To me, cinema should make people forget their struggles for a few hours and walk out happy, just like sleep gives us peace.

The songs and dialogues are designed to feel natural, just like the way we speak in real life. Even abroad in the UK and US, I’ve heard families say they watched 90s Middle Class Biopic together after Baahubali. I believe Little Hearts will connect with them the same way, reminding them of what they’ve missed in life.

Though comparisons with 90s Middle Class Biopic might arise, we aren’t worried if anything, it will boost openings. My involvement here was purely as a producer, while Sai Marthand handled writing, casting and direction. I only gave inputs in the editing stage, choosing what works best theatrically. A longer cut will also be available on OTT.

This is the kind of film that shows our nativity in an authentic way, like how we enjoy Malayalam originals when dubbed. That’s why I was convinced it should be made as a theatrical as well as OTT film.”

Producer Sai Krishna said “90s Middle Class Biopic broke the trend that only web series of a certain kind work. It proved that if you make a good, relatable family entertainer, audiences will embrace it. We strongly believe Little Hearts will succeed in the same way.

From the beginning, we planned this as a theatrical film. Especially after COVID, we’ve seen that quality content-driven movies get strong theatrical response. That’s why we’re happy to back Little Hearts under ETV Win. We are choosing projects based on where they fit best some for OTT, some for theatres. In fact, six more films are coming from ETV Win soon.

The story here is about an illiterate boy and girl, and the humorous, heartwarming situations that arise between them. Bunny Vas and Vamsi Nandipati are releasing the film across nearly 200 theatres. We are also hosting free shows on September 3 for intermediate students in three centers, followed by paid premieres on September 4. We hope audiences shower their support and love.”
