There had been buzzing rumours about ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’s’ OTT premiere recently but the makers snubbed it all yesterday by clearly announcing that it will not be out on any OTT platform before 56 days. That means fans can enjoy it on the big screens uninterrupted this holiday season.
Sadly shortly after the announcement an ultra HD print of ‘Pushpa 2’ had been illegally leaked online, facing a significant piracy issue affecting its theatrical run. Moreover, there have been reports suggesting that the film will not be screened in some screens in Northern India to avoid clash with upcoming film ‘Baby John’, though there haven’t been any confirmation about this yet.
But looks like the makers have a befitting reply to all of these as well as. According to some reports, there are plans to release an extended version, with additional 18 minutes of footage, starting this Christmas.
That’s the kind of confidence ‘Pushpa 2’s’ astounding run in the theatres has given the makers. The film is not ready to be deterred by any kind of shortcoming and continues to dominate the box office and set new benchmarks in Indian cinema with each passing day.
