On the occasion of Prabhas’ birthday today makers of his upcoming highly anticipated film ‘The Raja Saab’ have unveiled the motion poster for the film. Helmed by Maruthi, ‘The Raja Saab’ is set to release in cinemas on 10th April, 2025.
The motion poster begins in an enchanted forrest where an old rustic piano plays the eerie version of the happy birthday song and then a mysterious man begins to walk through this forest humming the same tune. Soon enough a ghostly hand covers the screen but it doesn’t scare at all if that was the purpose.
The camera soon pans out to show an old bungalow where at the end of the hallway is a throne with a man stylishly bouncing a cigar from his hand to his mouth. And then Prabhas’ look is unveiled as he sits cross legged in a black attire with long salt and pepper styled hair. At the end it’s shown all inverted trying to create a sense of intrigue.
This update was hyped a lot from a few days but honestly it’s very disappointing. The VFX is bad and cartoonish and though it might be done to capture the comic part of the genre it’s just not done well enough given the film’s scale and budget. It all looks too amateurish to begin with. The background score does its job but the visuals could have been much much better.
Written and directed by Maruthi (‘Pakka Commercial’), ‘The Raja Saab’ is a romantic horror comedy starring Prabhas in the titular role alongside Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar. The film follows the story of a young man who is facing a cash crunch and resorts to his ancestral property to ease him out of it.
The technical team behind ‘The Raja Saab’ includes Karthik Palani as cinematographer and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao as editor. Thaman S has composed for the film. Produced by TG Vishwa Prasad under his People Media Factory banner, ‘The Raja Saab’ will release in cinemas on 10th April, 2025.
