Comedy Sarangapani Jathakam, to be released on December 20, 2024, is an astrological film. While its idea sounds fresh, it will rely much on overused cliches and comedy tuned to a Breaking Point-the audience might sleep over the movie.
Picture success depends on not falling for hackneyed humor, even with a superb cast that includes Vennela Kishore. Will it be overpowered by more popular movies during the congested Christmas season, or will it stand out?
Execution is key. Will the filmmakers stick to a simplicity or stretch it out to familiarity? Without the new concepts, the movie might have a hard time keeping the viewers’ attention.
Sarangapani Jathakam stands to suffer by becoming esoteric if it is overdependent on astrology. To be remembered, it needs to provide much more than mere novelty.
With this being said, even if the movie has a good premise, it faces a lot of issues. Its premise and comedy may not change, and it may not stand out in a crowded market.
