Sharwanand’s 37th film in the lead role has now got its title and is named after the 1990 super hit film ‘Nari Nari Naduma Murari’ starring Nandamuri Balakrishna. The first look and title were unveiled today on the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranthi.
The poster for ‘Nari Nari Naduma Murari’ features Sharwanand sitting in the center covering his ears from all the shouting from her female co-stars Samyuktha and Sakshi Vaidya. On the sidelines one can see several copies of documents scattered around.
Despite having the same title, the 2025 version is not a remake of the 1990 version of ‘Nari Nari Naduma Murari’ and is touted to have a fresh spin on the story. In the older version, a man wants one of his two daughters get married to his nephew. Tension builds up in the family after both the girls fall in love with the potential suitor. How the makers are going to twist the plot in the latest version remains to be seen.
Sharwanand had only one release last year (‘Manamey’) and no release before that in 2023. In 2022, he had two theatrical releases, namely ‘Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu’ and ‘Oke Oka Jeevitham’. While the former did not do that well, the latter was a critical and commercial success.
Going by that, Sharwanand’s last two films have been successful, and the makers would be hoping for the same with ‘Nari Nari Naduma Murari’ as well. But will the super hit film’s title be enough to make this one a hit as well?
The audience is surely not much in the mood for remakes and the makers need to be very cautious and creative with what they offer in the film. A mere “old wine in new bottle” formula is not going to work and there needs to be innovation in witting.
‘Nari Nari Naduma Murari’ is directed by Ram Abbaraju (‘Samajavaragamana’, ‘Vivaha Bhojanambu’) and stars Sharwanand, Samyuktha, Sakshi Vaidya, and Naresh Vijay Krishna in pivotal roles.
Among the technical crew, Gnana Shekar V.S. handles the cinematography and Vishal Chandrashekhar (‘Sita Ramam’) serves as the music composer. An AK Entertainment production, ‘Nari Nari Naduma Murari’ will release soon in theatres.
