The much-talked-about marketing concept ‘Ticket Koṭṭu – iPhone Paṭṭu’ and the Money Rain promotions have struck a chord with the audience. The buzz around Virgin Boys has surged across social media and offline platforms alike, building strong hype ahead of the release.
Producer Raja Darpuneni, who bankrolled the film under the Raj Guru Films banner, expressed his delight, saying, “The audience response has been phenomenal. Everywhere you go, people are talking about Virgin Boys. Our team feels re-energized by this wave of positivity.”
Directed by Dayanand, Virgin Boys stars Bigg Boss fame Mitra Sharma and Geethanand in the lead roles, with Srihan, Kaushal, Ronith, Jennifer, Anshula, Sujith Kumar, Bablu, and Abhilash in crucial supporting roles. The film is all set for a grand theatrical release on July 11.
Talking about the iPhone lottery scheme, Raja Darpuneni added, “Our campaign idea – Ticket Koṭṭu, iPhone Paṭṭu – and the Money Rain concept went viral. People began engaging actively on social media and ticket sales surged. The intent was always to attract larger crowds to theatres in a fun, engaging way.”
First Winner Announced
At a recent store opening event in Madhapur, actress Mitra Sharma and the Virgin Boys team conducted a lottery draw for those who purchased advance tickets. The lucky winner was Praveen from Chandanagar, who walked away with the first iPhone. The team confirmed that nearly ten more iPhone giveaways are planned as part of upcoming draws.
Audience Engagement and Social Buzz
While many social media users appreciated the innovative promotions, a few raised questions regarding the Money Rain concept. Addressing concerns, Raja stated, “We’ve taken every precaution to ensure the audience’s safety. We’re well aware of the value of money and the importance of a hassle-free experience. We’ve planned this campaign meticulously, and the distribution of money will be managed smoothly within the theatres.”
The film’s teaser and trailer have already received a strong response, and expectations are high for the movie itself. “OTT platforms have also shown great interest with attractive offers, which is encouraging,” the producer added.
