Dulquer Salman’s upcoming Telugu thriller is titled ‘Lucky Baskhar’ and it is coming out on 31st of October. Dulquer Salman has established himself as a respected craftsman in almost all the industries by now. And Lucky Baskhar is having a release in Hindi audio as well.
But will the Hindi audio save the movie this time? It is Diwali and there are two anticipated titles coming out at the same time. ‘Singham Again’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiya 3’ are both hyped movies and the sequel Factory works for them as well. And even if we argue that Lucky Baskhar might have a better story and screenplay, the Diwali crowd will always prefer the more so-called fun movies.
‘Bhool Bhulaiya 3’ is doing some great crowd pleasing by taking multiple characters together there, which Rohith Shetty does in Singham Again too. Many cameos, huge crowd pleasing, and action, these are films exclusively for Diwali. Lucky Baskhar could have worked out well if it were to release during some other time, but there is little chance for the movie now.
It looks like it will go unnoticed in the Hindi belt during the theatrical run and people will rediscover it when it gets released on OTT. Postponing the movie for a few days could have really worked in favour of the movie.
