Pushpa 2: The Rule became one of the largest blockbusters at the Indian box office. It crossed over 1800 crores at the box office and has emerged as a powerful force that Indian cinema would look at as a sort of benchmark for many, many years to come.
After the huge success of Pushpa 2: The Rule, the makers decided to bring an extra 20 minutes to the film and they even released it on the big screens. This was not meant for some box office benefit; the film had already earned what it needed to earn. It is just that releasing Pushpa 2: The Reloaded will ensure a smooth release on Netflix.
Netflix has clarified that it will not entertain any film on its platform that has not been passed by the CBFC.
So, if the extra 20 minutes were not added in Pushpa 2 then it would perhaps not have been released on Netflix as well.
So, now it is pretty obvious that the version getting released on Netflix India will be Pushpa 2: The Reloaded.
There are some news articles floating online that are promising an even extra 10 minutes to the film. It means a total of half an hour extra to Pushpa 2: The Rule.
At this point in time, we don’t really believe it, as no film has properly fulfilled the promise of extended cuts.
So, whenever Pushpa 2 releases, it will be the Reloaded version.
