It is always nice to see when small to medium budget films make a good business. Almost everyone expects something out of big budget films but the minion ones are even better. Mathu Vadalara 2 is one such crime comedy film directed by Ritesh Rana.
It is a sequel to Mathu Vadalara and continues the comic journey of its main characters. The movie stars Sri Simha Koduri, Satya, and Vennela Kishore, who reprise their roles from the first film. The new members of the cast are Sunil and Faria Abdullah.
The plot centers around Babu and Yesu, who, after losing their jobs, join a special agency called the High Emergency Team. Despite failing their training, they manage to secure jobs by bribing their way in. They get involved in shady activities, including minor thefts, and soon find themselves in deep trouble when they are directly involved in a kidnapping case. The district magistrate, Dhaamini, asks them to rescue her kidnapped daughter, Riya. Things take a dark turn when they accidentally get involved in a murder, and later, Riya’s dead body is found in their car. As they try to clear their names and find the real culprit, the story keeps taking turns.
The film combines humor, crime, and mystery. Thankfully they managed to combine it in a manner which the audiences accepted and even the critics were not pissed off about.
But, if you didn’t watch the movie on the big screens then now is the time to do so. The movie is coming to Netflix India just this 11th of October. Thus, don’t miss it.
