SonyLIV has dropped the official trailer for its upcoming political drama series, Mayasabha, featuring the likes of Aadhi Pinisetty, Chaitanya Rao, and Divya Dutta. In addition to these talents, the series also stars Sai Kumar, Shatru, Ravindra Vijay, Srikanth Iyengar, Raghu Babu, Tanya Ravichandran, Charitha Varma, and more.
Titled Mayasabha: Rise of the Titans, the SonyLIV original series is set to premiere on August 7. Helmed by Kiran Jay Kumar and Deva Katta, it explores themes of ambition and political power in Andhra Pradesh.
SonyLIV’s performance in 2025, in terms of content delivery, has been phenomenal so far. As we approach the end of July, the platform has released several outstanding originals, including Bada Naam Karenge, The Waking of a Nation, Black, White & Gray, Kankhajura, and The Hunt – Rajiv Gandhi Assassination Case.
It seems the platform aims to maintain this momentum with Mayasabha, which looks like a gripping and intriguing political drama.
Mayasabha chronicles the evolving relationship between Kakarla Krishnama Naidu (Aadhi Pinisetty) and MS Rami Reddy (Chaitanya Rao). Initially united by a common goal, their bond begins to fray due to personal ambition, political maneuvering, and the rise of Jagarlamudi Dharmendar Rao, a film star who transitions into political leadership.
The series delves into how their shared ideals and alliances unravel, testing their loyalties and revealing the profound human cost of their decades-long pursuit of power. The story culminates in a decisive moment that forever alters history.
