Telugu action thriller drama ‘Zebra’ released in theatres last month and received a decent response. The film helmed by Eashvar Karthic will soon have its world digital premiere on Aha Video.
‘Zebra’ follows Surya (Satyadev), a bank employee, who when finds out that his girlfriend Swathi (Priya Bhavani Shankar), also a bank employee but at a different bank, has made a major mistake in her work. As he tries to help her solve the issue by using loopholes in the banking system, he gets in a crossfire with a mulit-millionaire Aadhi (Dhananjay), who then demands ₹5 crore from Surya within 4 days. How this complicates Surya’s life and leads him into do or die situation is what the film is all about.
Written and directed by Eashvar Karthic, ‘Zebra’ stars Satyadev, Dhananjay, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Sathyaraj, Amrutha Iyengar, Sunil, Jeniffer Piccinato, and Satya among others.
‘Zebra’ received mixed to positive reviews upon its theatrical release with critics praising the performances by lead stars and applauding the thrilling climax. Some critics have pointed out that though the screenplay deflects occasionally due to subplots, the film stands strong because of its engaging concept. Moreover, had there been a sharper focus and a crisper runtime, ‘Zebra’ could have achieved more.
‘Zebra’ completes the standard four week theatrical window tomorrow and will soon be available on Aha Video.
