We have learnt this in school. What do we do when we commit a mistake?
We reflect and we try to never repeat the same mistake. That’s basic, right?
Still, TVF did not learn from it. Last year they came up with the Tamil remake of the superhit Panchayat and it was called Thalaivettiyaan Paalayam. The series might be good but it took the textbook approach of a remake.
Meaning?
There was practically nothing different. There were no nuances of a typical Tamil village and that’s why the series became boring. Also, it is almost impossible to match the charm of the original cast if there is nothing different.
This year TVF again made the same mistake. They came up with the Telugu remake of Panchayat called Sivarapalli.
Yes, it is trending among the Top 10 and there are talks about it. But, the series is nowhere near the original. Most talks around Sivarapalli are talks saying how unnecessary the series truly was.
The same thing happened during Thalaivettiyaan Paalayam. It is very understandable that TVF wants to make a strong presence in the South Indian states. For that, they need people who can create sensible original stories, much like they do in Hindi.
Let’s see when that happens.
