Uruka Patela, a September 2024 Telugu film that was recently released on Prime Video, is facing a strong competition by Laughing Buddha, as they clash with each other for OTT streaming dominance. As of now Laughing Buddha seems to have an edge over the other.
Uruka Patela was released in early September. The film was a comedy thriller that talked about the life of a guy who finds himself trapped in a maze of love and betrayal. He is in love with a lady who is trying to kill him.
The film Tejus Kancheria and Khusboo Choudhary in the leading roles among others. The film’s unusual plot and fun elements make it a decent watch.
Laughing Buddha on the other hand, is a Kannada film that too belongs to the same genre of comedy. The film is about a happy go lucky police officer who loves food, his family and his profession in the same order. The plot intensifies when he is about to be dismissed due to his lack of fitness. The one he loves the most is affecting the other two. Which one will he keep and which one will he sacrifice?
The film stars Pramod Shetty in the leading role. It is produced by Kantara fame Rishabh Shetty. It has also received a lot of positive reviews critically as well.
Maybe because of the critical aspects of the film and also due to some known faces attached with it; Laughing Buddha is currently overtaking Uruka Patela on Prime Video. Both the films were added to the same platform on the same day. And as a result faced a direct clash.
As of now Laughing Buddha is leading in viewership when compared to the other film. But after a few days we will get a clearer data in who is dominating the space.
