Yudhra, a new film directed by Ravi Udyawar is about to be released on 20th September. The film is produced by Farhan Akhtar (who also serves as the writer) and Ritesh Sidhwani under Excel Entertainment. The film stars Sidhant Chaturvedi as the lead actor and Malavika Mohanan plays his love interest. The film’s recent release of its trailer showcases the movie to be filled with intense violence and action sequences. The trailer also showcased other actors like Ram Kapoor, Raghav Juyal, Gajraj Rao, Shilpa Shukla etc. in the film.
The film, by its first looks, seems like a big-budget project. And the intense action makes the audience expect more from it. Due to the action and bloodshed, the film has received an A certification from the censor board. This further elevates the expectations of people who are fans of the action genre. The film also will bear the recent success of movies of the same genre and especially the cast involved brings an advantage. Sidhant has always been considered a great actor and Malavika will be ready to take on the Hindi audience in this project after surprising them with Thangalaan.
The movie is three days away from its release and still we can’t see the pre-bookings start. This can be a bit concerning. Also, the crew has not focused on marketing the film properly. There is no new competition in the market for the film. Either films have already been released or will be releasing next week. But still, the issue of not focusing on the advertisement can be hazardous. The makers also didn’t focus on the trailer of the movie, it shows nothing except action sequences. People are unaware of the basic plot, marketing has not been effective and pre-bookings are yet to start.
This negligence can mean the film will suffer in the box office. It will not be able to reach the potential it could have reached if things were done properly.
