Soon after it started streaming on the Amazon Prime Video OTT platform, Suriya starrer hard-hitting and intense legal drama ‘Jai Bhim’ became the No.1 Indian film on the IMDb top-rated Indian movies list besides also subsequently becoming the highest-rated movie across the world on IMDb. The film is being praised for its performances, realistic portrayal, and gripping storytelling.

‘Badlapur’ was a dark thriller by Sriram Raghavan which showcased Varun Dhawan in a completely different avatar. When the wife and son of Raghu (Varun Dhawan) are accidentally killed during a bank robbery executed by Liak (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) and Harman (Vinay Pathak), the fateful incident transforms Raghu’s life. He becomes maniacal in his quest for revenge and his only motive is to avenge the death of his family.
Bandit Queen (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video, MX Player, Lionsgate Play)
Shekhar Kapur’s hard-hitting and disturbing directorial film was based on the life of Phoolan Devi. The film featured an ensemble cast that included Seema Biswas in the titular role, Nirmal Pandey as Vikram Mallah, Manoj Bajpayee as Dacoit Maan Singh, Saurabh Shukla, Aditya Srivastava, and Gajraj Rao, amongst others. The critically acclaimed movie went on to win multiple National Film Awards and Filmfare awards.
Titli (Streaming on Google Play, YouTube, Apple iTunes)
Helmed by Kanu Behl in his feature film directorial debut, the plot revolves around the film’s titular character Titli (Shashank Arora) – the youngest brother of a Delhi-based car-jacking family gang (Ranvir Shorey and Amit Sial). He attempts to escape from this brutally violent life with an unlikely ally.
Section 375 (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video)
The intense and nail-biting courtroom drama follows the legal battle between a senior criminal lawyer (Akshaye Khanna) and his former protégé (Richa Chadha), who fight for and against a famous Bollywood director (Rahul Bhatt) accused of rape. As the name suggests, the film is based on Section 375 of the Indian Penal Code.
NH10 (Streaming on Jio Cinema, Zee5, Eros Now)
A Navdeep Singh directorial (Manorama Six Feet Under), ‘NH 10’ is a hard-hitting revenge thriller with a compelling performance by Anushka Sharma duly supported by Neil Bhoopalam, Darshan Kumar, and Deepti Naval. After a scary incident, a married couple decides to go for a romantic getaway, which soon turns out to be their biggest nightmare after they encounter a violent gang of criminals on the way.
