Marvel’s first ever Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) integrated web series came to an end last week and It. Was. Beautiful. But the release of this television series makes all the other Marvel TV series – Jessica Jones, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Daredevil among others redundant. Although Marvel Head, Kevin Feige said that there is a chance that these TV show characters could make an appearance in the MCU later on (Charlie Cox who portrays Daredevil in the Netflix web series, makes an appearance in the upcoming Spiderman: No Way Home), there is a very good chance that we will have to wait a long time before they appear alongside MCU characters or they might never even appear at all. But for now WandaVision is the one and only Marvel series that has been released which is a part of the MCU and it also is MCU’s Phase 4’s first project.
This web series ties in with the plot lines of multiple other Marvel characters which will be shown later on, most likely in the other upcoming Marvel Phase 4 movies. Check out the 5 main Marvel Characters to be affected by the events of Disney+ Hotstar’s WandaVision:
Captain Marvel
At the end of WandaVision, Captain Monica Rambeau is called up by Nick Fury to come to space and take up a job in the space version of S.H.I.E.L.D. AKA S.W.O.R.D. Although this might involve other Skrull aliens and Nick Fury himself, Carol Davers AKA Captain Marvel who has had a personal relationship with the Captain will likely see her new powers and teach her how to control it.
Kamala Khan
The first and only hero on the list to not be seen on any screens yet, we expect Kamala Khan to make an appearance in Captain Marvel and hence will meet up with Captain Rambeau as well. Especially since Kamala’s alter-ego is called Ms. Marvel. The series featuring the young Superhero will come out in late 2021 and will help set up Captain Marvel in 2022, just like WandaVision.
Doctor Strange
We knew Doctor Strange was making this list, especially since the Sorcerer Supreme (SS) was mentioned in the recent web series. Wanda is harnessing extremely powerful magic called chaos magic, something she doesn’t know much about and the SS AKA Doctor Strange would be one of the few people who would be qualified and willing to help her.
Spider-man
There is only a slim chance of seeing this happen on Spider-man: No Way Home, but since both the WandaVision series and the just-mentioned Spider-man: No Way Home are meant to tie in with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, we expect both characters to feature together in the movie soon which will most likely feature some interdimensional magic and traveling.
Loki
Similar to Spider-man, the TV series Loki too is expected to tie in with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Loki, an Asgardian magic user himself, previously had come to odds with Strange in Thor: Ragnarok over Strange’s use of magic on the 1000+ year old humanoid alien, so we can’t wait to see his reaction when he finds out about Wanda’s chaos magic and/ or her title – The Scarlet Witch.
Check out WandaVision which is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
Marvel’s The Falcon and The Winter Soldier web series will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on 19th March 2021.
