Some of this internet stars who also made it big in the showbiz business and they definitely are doing an excellent job.
Vir Das
Probably one of the first stand up comedian from India, Vir Das has been a viral comedian all throughout. His jokes and his puns became famous all over and after literally 100s of shows throughout, he got his Bollywood break. It was Badmaash Company, that gave him the recognition in the movie industry followed by Delhi Belly and others. Other than that, he has successful Netflix stand-up shows and YouTube channel where he performs his jokes.
Prajakta Koli
Known to her fans as “Mostlysane”, Prajakta is an Instagram and YouTube content creator. She recently landed the lead role in Netflix’s new series Mismatched and ever since the release of the series, she has been recieving a lot of positive feedback for her performances.
Abish Mathew
A stand-up comedian who has his own fan base and a dedicated series that goes on his YouTube channel as he decodes and dives into the journey of jokes and along with that he also is a part of Comicstaan, Abish Mathew made his way into Bollywood with Ayushmann and Parineeti starrer, “Meri Pyari Bindu”.
Sumukhi Suresh
Sumukhi Suresh is another stand up comedians in the Indian who owns it and kills it with her jokes everytime she is on a show or a stage. She created her own show called “Pushpavalli” that recieved immense success and was renewed for the second season, which aired very recently.
Shirley Setia
One of the viral YouTubers of our times. Shirley Sethia became an internet sensation overnight as she sang away in front of the camera in her bedroom with her pyjamas on. She was given the name of Pyjama Pop star by The New Zealand Herald, as she entered a singing competition from New Zealand at that point. She later moved to Mumbai and debuted with “Maska”, Netflix original movie and soon will be making her Bollywood debut with the movie called, “Nikamma”.
Mallika Dua
A stand-up comedian, Mallika Dua became famous because of her various self-made and self played characters that were played all over Snapchat, Instagram and Facebook. She landed a role in the movie “Hindi Medium” and carried it out beautifully. After her debut she has been part of films like Namaste England and Zero. She also plays an important role in the Hotstar original webseries called “The Office”.
Dolly Singh
One of the most famous influencer of Instagram at the moment, Dolly Singh became famous for various skits done on the iDiva channel. Later, she took on fashion and also entertained her fans through her Instagram account with her various small skits and adaptation of the Indian Aunty, Bahu and self-proclaimed Godwoman. Dolly Singh will be making her debut in Netflix’s upcoming “Bhaag Beanie Bhaag”.
Faisal Shaikh
Faisal Shaikh or Mr. Faisu as his fans mostly know him as is an upcoming fashion influencer and Instagram content creator who earlier became famous through the medium of Tiktok. He has now entered the world of OTT with the latest show on Zee5 called “Bang Bang”.
