The news has been flowing around for quite some time now and even though it is known now, it sounds exciting every time fans hear about it. Well, the news we are talking about is that of Jensen Ackles playing the role of Batman. He will be lending his voice for the role of Batman in the upcoming animated DC movie “Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One”.
It is huge news for his fans, especially for the ones who have been watching him effortlessly play the role of Dean Winchester in CW’s “Supernatural” for all of its 16 seasons, since 2005. But it definitely must be a way bigger news for him too, as according to his social media handles he still can’t seem to get over the news and more so now, as the news is out in the open.
He recently took to Instagram and shared a photo of his along with an animated Batman photo and captioned, “I know I tweeted about this a few days ago but…I’m just so stoked that this is finally coming out. We recorded voices a couple years ago. Secrets are hard to keep, especially when #Batman is involved. Animated or not…I actually get to say “I’m Batman”…and really mean it. Boyhood dream P. …can’t wait for more! #batmanthelonghalloween”
Judging from his post, one can truly say how excited he is for this. Also, who wouldn’t be stoked to play Batman? The superhero has been an icon to so many around the world, for years now and when someone actually gets to say “I’m Batman” and that too for the world to see and hear, it for sure is a dream come true. We are sure Jensen is definitely way more excited for the iconic dialogue more than anything else and with a deep and heavy voice like his, the dialogue will definitely get justice.
Jensen who has essayed the role of a demon hunter for so many years, who has basically breathed life into “Dean Winchester”, is for sure ready to show the world that he can be Batman and we as his fans, definitely and earnestly believe in that.
Well for now it looks like it is time for him to ditch his baby, 67’ Impala and get upgraded to the majestic Batmobile.
As for the movie, it is an adaptation of the popular comic series written by Jeph Loeb and illustrated by Tim Sale. Besides Ackles playing the role of Dark Knight, the cast also includes the late Naya Rivera as Catwoman; the former Glee star passed away in July but she was able to complete her voice recording for the character. Josh Duhamel, Billy Burke, Titus Welliver, David Dastmalchian play prominent roles as Troy Baker voices the Joker in the movie.
