Here comes the first visual glimpse of the next big series from the Amazon Prime Video. The teaser of Kabir Khan directed The Forgotten Army is out. It comes with the caption Aazadi Ke Liye.
As mentioned previously, The Forgotten Army is about soldiers of the Indian National Army (INA) found by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. The formation of the army and its fate – the whole chapter is skimmed over in the history about the freedom struggle of India. Kabir Khan intends to present this untold piece of history through The Forgotten Army.
Sunny Kaushal, brother of Vicky Kaushal who shot to fame playing an army officer in Uri – The Surgical Strike, plays the lead of the series. He will be seen in the role of Captain Surinder Singh. The teaser promises lots of action and drama in the backdrop of war. The visuals in the brief glimpse give an impression of grand filmmaking.
Kabir Khan is coming back to where it all started for him with The Forgotten Army. He has debuted as a filmmaker making a short on the same story. Decades later, he is presenting the small documentary as a big scale web series. With The Forgotten Army and 83 (a biopic on legendary cricketer Kapil Dev) slated to arrive later, 2020 could turn out to be an unforgettable year for the director.
