It seems like Allu Arjun’s biggest cinematic project, Pushpa: The Rise, is reigning supreme over Tom Holland’s Spider-Man No Way Home in India. The former has won the battle on December 17 at the country’s box office. It grossed nearly 50 crores on the first day of its release. There is no doubt that the latest Telugu action drama has won the highly-anticipated box office battle against NWH. Additionally, its worldwide collections stand at 71 crores so far.
The movie is making new records during its ongoing outstanding theatrical performance. It has also grabbed more than a million dollars at the US box office. Plus, it is Arjun’s fifth movie that has achieved this feat after Ala Vaikunthapuramuloo, Duvvada Jagannadham, Son of Satyamurthy, and Race Gurram.
The Rise is the first part of the planned Pushpa movie series. Also, it is the most expensive cinematic project in Allu Arjun’s career, having a huge budget of almost 250 crores.
On the other hand, Spider-Man No Way Home witnessed a little drop in its collections today. It stockpiled up to 32 crores on its first day. However, the latest Spidey instalment managed to get around 21 crores on Day 2. It means that the entire NWH collection in India stands around 53 crores.
Apart from Allu Arjun, Pushpa: The Rise stars Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Dhananjay, Anasuya Bharadwaj, and many more. Sukumar has helmed this project. It is available in theatres now!
