Mohanlal’s highly anticipated Malayalam feature, ‘Aaraattu‘, surprisingly, already has an OTT release lined up – even before its theatrical release. While there is no official OTT release date yet, the recently released film poster for the Malayalam action thriller confirmed this and shows us which OTT platform will be streaming the Malayalam feature film. The streaming platform that managed to acquire the streaming rights for this Mohanlal starrer is Amazon Prime Video. Check out the poster in the tweet below, to see the Amazon Prime Video logo towards the bottom fled.

‘Aaraattu’ postponed the film’s release date by a week, when the rising Covid-19 and Omricon cases caused problems around the state of Kerala. Most of the Malayalam film viewers are within the state, and the film producers have chosen next week as a better time to release the film. The film was postponed twice before, primarily because of the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic. So it makes sense that there was an OTT release planned due to these multiple theatrical premiere postponements.
Besides Mohanlal, ‘Neyyattinkara Gopante Aaraattu’ AKA ‘Aaraattu’ will feature a lot of Malayalam up-and-coming & veteran superstars. Neil Vincent, Shraddha Srinath, Ramachandra Raju, Nedumudi Venu, Siddique, Prabhakar, Vijayaraghavan, Saikumar, Indrans, Malavika Menon, Swasika, and Rachana Narayanankutty, all join Mohanlal to play prominent roles in this film. This Udaykrishna written feature will be directed and co-produced by B. Unnikrishnan.
Catch ‘Aaraattu’ in theatres on February 18th 2022. To know when the film will drop for streaming on Amazon Prime Video, follow us on Twitter or here, on our website. Check out the trailer for this upcoming movie below:
