Leading OTT Platform, Amazon Prime Video has faced several failures in Indian cinema going after biggies. Even then, the OTT major is going aggressive in going after big films across the languages. Now, it is reliably learned that it has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of the much-awaited Telugu film, F3.
The movie started its regular shooting recently and we are told that this deal has been signed even before the shoot commenced. We are told that Amazon offered a very fancy deal to bag the rights. F2, the first part of the franchise starring Venkatesh and Varun Tej was a blockbuster when it released in 2019.
The streaming rights of F2 are also with Amazon Prime Video and it is one of the most-watched films on the platform. So, when a second part is announced, Amazon Prime Video is after it immediately. The movie directed by Anil Ravipudi stars Tamannah and Mehreen as the female leads. It is not a sequel of F2 but is a laughter riot like the Original. The plan is to complete the shoot in non-stop schedules and lines it for a Summer release. The movie may release in the theaters in May and will end up in OTT in June or early July.
