Amazon Prime Video has revealed the massive A-list cast of the second season of ‘Modern Love’ that will premiere on the platform later this year. ‘Modern Love’ is a romantic anthology series that is based on The New York Times column of the same name.
The newly added members of the cast include Gbenga Akinnagbe, Susan Blackwell, Lucy Boynton, Tom Burke, Zoe Chao, Maria Dizzia, Minnie Driver, Grace Edwards, Dominique Fishback, Kathryn Gallagher, Kit Harington, Garrett Hedlund, Telci Huynh, Nikki M. James, Aparna Nancherla, Larry Owens, Zane Pais, Anna Paquin, Isaac Powell, Ben Rappaport, Milan Ray, Jack Reynor, Miranda Richardson, Marquis Rodriguez, James Scully, Zuzanna Szadkowski, Lulu Wilson, Don Wycherley, and Jeena Yi.
‘Modern Love‘ has been created by John Carney (‘Sing Street’, ‘Once’), who has also written, directed and executive produced the Amazon series. Each episode will bring some of the best stories of the column to the viewers and will explore unique and complex stories of love, filled with its own joys and tribulations.
Other than Carney, John Crowley (‘Brooklyn’), Marta Cunningham (‘Insecure’) Jesse Peretz (‘Glow’), and Andrew Rannells (‘Black Monday’), will also direct episodes of the Amazon Prime anthology series and Celine Held and Logan George (‘Topside’) will co-direct an episode.
Sean Fogel and Daniel Jones, editor of the ‘Modern Love’ column, serves as co-producers while Todd Hoffman, Trish Hofmann, Anthony Bregman, Caitlin Roper and Choire Sicha of The New York Times serve as executive producers for the second season of ‘Modern Love’.
‘Modern Love’ is produced by Amazon Studios, Storied Media Group, Likely Story, and The New York Times. ‘Modern Love’ season 2 will launch on Amazon Prime Video later this year.
