MX Player has released a music video for its upcoming original series ‘Ramyug’ directed by Kunal Kohli (‘Hum Tum’, ‘Fanaa’). The music video is titled ‘Jai Hanuman‘ and depicts the saga of Lord Hanuman in the voice of Amitabh Bachchan.
The video features Lord Hanuman’s tale of bravery and devotion showcased through sand art by popular sand artist Rahul Arya. The video begins with sand portraits and then visuals of the video’s music director Rahul Sharma who is also seen playing santoor, Ustad Zakir Hussain playing tabla and Amitabh Bachchan lending his voice for the song.
The video later goes on to show sand art visuals as per the lyrics which have been penned by Aman Akshar. As the song ‘Jai Hanuman’ proceeds it instills one with not only spiritual devotion but also a sense of calmness in between. Coupled with vocals from Amitabh Bachchan, which also includes recitation of a few lines of ‘Hanuman Chalisa’ in his deep voice, makes the music video very impactful.
‘Ramyug‘ is an MX Player original series which is reportedly based on the Hindu epic Ramayana. The series will mark the digital début for director Kunal Kohli who is known for directing films like ‘Hum Tum’, ‘Fanaa’, ‘Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic’, ‘Mujhse Dosti Karoge!’ and more.
While the teaser for MX Player’s ‘Ramyug’ is already out, the trailer for the series will be released on 29th April, 2021. No details of the cast and release date have been made public by the makers of the series.
