George Floyd’s death in late May due to the brutality of white police officers sparked a worldwide movement to create awareness on the racism prevalent in society. The Black Lives Matter movement is unlike any that has happened until now.
On the other hand, celebrities have opened their hearts to help create a brighter future for the late George Floyd’s daughter, little Gianna Floyd. The latest to give financial succour to the bereaved child is 10 time Grammy Award Winner, Barbra Streisand. She gifted the six-year old Gianna shares of Disney, making her a Disney stockholder.
Gianna posted a photo on her Instagram account holding her Disney shares certificate and thanked Streisand in the caption.
She wrote, “Thank you Barbra Streisand for my package, I am now a Disney Stockholder thanks to you.”
Gianna also received copies of Barbra’s popular albums ‘My Name Is Barbra’ and ‘Color Me Barba’ from 1965 and 1966, respectively.
