Well, we didn’t have to wait for this weekend for Bheeshma Parvam to hit 50 crores – apparently, it has already happened. And according to the latest reports, Bheeshma Parvam has also beaten Hridayam in the box office and has made over Rs. 57 crores in theatres worldwide. With this, Bheeshma Parvam is now officially Mollywood’s most successful film of 2022. If these numbers continue, we are sure that this Malayalam thriller will go on to make Rs. 70 crores by the end of this coming weekend.
Bheeshma Parvam is a multi-starring mass entertainer starring one of Mollywood’s biggest pillars of acting – Mammootty. After Aaraattu’s flop, which featured Mollywood’s other “pillar”, Mohanlal, many were apprehensive about this movie’s chances in theatres. However, the movie managed to subvert quite a few expectations and has been racking in profits so far. A brilliant cast that includes the aforementioned Mammootty, Dileesh Pothan, Anagha, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Veena Nandhakumar, Farhaan Faasil, Sreenath Bhasi, Soubin Shahir, Shine Tom Chacko, Nadhiya, Nedumudi Venu, K.P.A.C. Lalitha, Lena and Abu Salim also helped to attract audiences as well.
With such massive success, we do not expect this movie to release on an OTT platform any time soon. If the box office numbers are an indication of its popularity, we are sure that this movie can easily beat 2021’s biggest Malayalam movie, Kurup; which coincidentally was led by Mammootty’s son, Dulquer Salman. So, we expect at least a 60-day run in theatres (at least in Kerala) for Bheeshma Parvam, before it gets an OTT release.
