Suriya fans are currently rejoicing the super success of the star’s latest release Soorarai Pottru (Aakaasam Nee Haddhu Ra). It is creating a wave of emotions among the people despite arriving on the digital platform Amazon Prime Video. However, the good news doesn’t end here.
Suriya is joining hands with none other than Gautham Menon for an upcoming anthology Tamil film called, Navarasa. It will be after a gap of twelve years that they are going to work together. The last movie they did together was Vaaranam Aayiram (Surya S/O Krishnan). The other flick they did before was Kaakha Kaakha.
As one can see, Vaaranam Aayiram and Kaakha Kaakha were among the key films in establishing Suriya as critics’ favourite. They also are box office success, which makes the combination success.
However, over the last decade, Suriya and Gautham Menon had a fallout. It is due to the working style of the later. The former said he has no problem working with Gautham Menon, but he would do so only when there is a bound script. Well, it looks like they have now for one for Navarasa.
The anthology Navarasa is a Mani Ratnam creation. It is a collection of nine short films, each representing an emotion. Apart from Gautham Menon, Karthik Subbaraj, Bejoy Nambiar, Karthick Naren, KV Anand, Aravind Swami are also on board for the project. It will stream on Netflix soon.
