Boomika starring Aishwarya Rajesh is the latest Tamil film releasing on Popular OTT Platform, Netflix. The horror-thriller movie is yet to get a premiere date. Boomika is set in the backdrop of Nilgiri Hills and Aishwarya Rajesh is seen as a damsel in distress in the promotional material released so far.
This is the second Direct Online release of the actress in the Pandemic. The first being Ka Pae Ranasingam in which she is seen opposite Vijay Sethupathi. The movie which released on ZeePlex (the PPV platform of Zee Network) could not emerge as a successful film. The actress will be hoping to make it count with this horror thriller.
Aishwarya Rajesh is the only second heroine in the Tamil film industry after Keerthy Suresh to have two direct online releases – Penguin and Miss India. For Keerthy Suresh, both films have misfired. Aishwarya Rajesh would not want that to happen for Boomika happens to be her milestone 25th film. Written and directed by Rathindran R Prasad, Boomika is produced by Karthik Subbaraj’s production house. The actress is familiar to the Telugu audience with Vijay Deverakonda’s World Famous Love and so, Netflix also lined up the Telugu version of the film.
