One of the best crime dramas created, Netflix finally confirmed ‘Ozark’ having been renewed for a fourth and final season. It is created by ‘Bill Dubuque’ and ‘Mark Williams’ and ‘Jason Bateman’ as executive director and producer.
The story follows the ‘Byrde’ family who are forced to uproot their lives and move to Ozark when a money laundering scheme goes wrong. The series premiered on 21st July, 2017 followed up with second and third season on 31st August, 2018 and 27th March, 2020 respectively.
Season 4 plot details: The season 3 finale ended with Wendy’s brother Ben and Helen Pierce dead, the ‘Byrde’ couple working with drug lord ‘Omar Navarro’ more than ever before and to do so they worked with the FBI briefly to end the gang war by bringing the rival ‘Lagunas cartel’ down. So it remains what can take place in the forthcoming season is the aftermath of Ben’s death on Wendy and Jonah and the family. Also how things work out with Ruth after she cut ties with the Byrde family. Largely the focus remains on, will ‘The Byrdes’ be able to turn their lives around from the biggest mistake? Or will Karma catch up with them?
This will be delivered in 2 halves, 14 episodes in total with 7 episodes airing in bursts. There has been no news on the release date but due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the expected release is between April – October 2021 or even early 2022 considering the episodes to be more in number than previous seasons.
The cast that is expected to return are – ‘Jason Bateman’ (Marty Bryde), Laura Linney (Wendy Byrde), ‘Sofia Hublitz’ (Charlotte Byrde), ‘Skylar Gaertner’ (Jonah Byrde),’Julia Garner’ (Ruth Langmore), ‘Lisa Emery’ (Darlene Snell), ‘Charlie Tahan’ (Wyatt Langmore), ‘Carson Holmes’ (Three Langmore), ‘Jessica Frances Dukes’ (Special Agent Maya Miller) and ‘Felix Solis’ (Omar Navarro).
