Chumbak, premiering this week on SonyLIV, is a truly heartwarming film of hopes, aspirations and morality. SonyLIV has just dropped the trailer of the Marathi film, which is slated to release on SonyLIV on Friday, 12th November. Interestingly, the film is presented by none other than Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, under his banner, Cape Of Good Films.
Akshay Kumar shared the trailer of Chumbak on his Instagram handle today, calling it a film “close to his heart”. The trailer of Chumbak gives us a peek into the luminous plot of the film. A young restaurant worker called Balu dreams of making it big in the restaurant business someday. Lulled into the idea of conning people to fulfil his ambition, Balu zones into his first victim – a middle-aged man named Prasanna. But Balu begins to get second thoughts on cheating Prasanna when he realizes that the man has an intellectual disability. For Balu, it becomes a battle between choosing morality over ambition. Sahil Jadhav, Swanand Kirkire and Sangram Desai play the primary characters in Chumbak.
Chumbak is directed by National Award-winning director, Sandeep Modi, produced by Naren Kumar of Kyra Kumar Kreations, and presented by Akshay Kumar’s Cape of Good Films. It is a film that is bound to give you all the feels.
