Avinash Arun, director of Amazon Prime Video’s super-successful politically-explosive series Paatal Lok, has already started work on his next web series. The series has been tentatively named ‘Crash Course’, and it has again been commissioned by Amazon Prime Video.
Unlike Paatal Lok though, Crash Course will be a drama centred on the famous or infamous (however you look at it) Kota, the city that is credited with the largest assembly line production of IIT aspirants in India. Yes, there was the very popular TVF production Kota Factory that focused on the same subject. There was also Lakhon Mein Ek by Biswa Kalyan Rath before that. Incidentally, the latter is also on Amazon Prime Video.
However, Avinash Arun promises that his version will be markedly different from its predecessors, in treatment and storyline. The script is almost complete and casting for the series is underway. Mukesh Chhabra is apparently in charge of the casting.
