Vijay Devarakonda and Mrunal Thakur have teamed up for a film now. The film was launched in Hyderabad today with a massive event. Vijay Devarakonda is having back to back announcements for films. With ‘Kushi’ he partners with Samantha and in the next he romances Sreeleela under the direction of Gowtam Tinnanuri. Shiva Nirvana’s ‘Kushi’ is almost completed and fans are waiting for the film eagerly.
As for VD13, the thirteenth film of Devarakonda’s career, the director is a special one. Parasuram Petla, the director of ‘Geetha Govindam’, is roped in for the film. This was the film that gave huge popularity to both Vijay and Rashmika. Gopi Sundar, who composed the music for the film, is roped in as the composer of VD13. It is surely a huge news for fans of Geetha Govindam and they are anticipating a similar magic.
The movie will be produced by Shirish and Dil Raju under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations and the shooting will commence soon enough. This is the 54th production of SVC.
Mrunal Thakur is having an interesting run of films. She gathered huge applause for her graceful performance in ‘Seetha Ramam’ and also in ‘Gumraah’. She will next be seen in the Netflix anthology ‘Lust Stories 2’, ‘Pooja Meri Jaan’, ‘Pippa Radha’ and a project with Nani.
The project is reportedly being made with a huge budget and chances are it will be a romantic drama. After the disastrous failure of ‘Liger’, Devarakonda seems to be more focused on romantic films. No further details have been revealed so far.
