Dharma Productions and Fox Star Studios acquire the Hindi, Telugu and Tamil rights of Malayalam hit film ‘Hridayam’. Helmed by Vineeth Srinivasan, ‘Hridayam’ is a coming of age drama that released in cinemas in January and is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
Announcing the acquisition, Dharma Production wrote on Twitter, “Thrilled to announce that Dharma Productions and Fox Star Studios have acquired the rights of #Hridayam in Hindi, Tamil & Telugu – from the world of Malayalam cinema.

‘Hridayam’ is a Malayalam coming of age drama written by Vineeth Srinivasan that follows a man in his early 30s who looks back on his past and the way his misspent his youth and how it shaped his life and adult phase.
Produced by Visakh Subramaniam, ‘Hridayam’ stars Pranav Mohanlal, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Darshana Rajendran, Aswath Lal, Vijayaraghavan and Johnny Antony among others.
‘Hridayam’ achieved both critical and commercial success for its unique and feel good storyline. The emotions in the film are beautifully brought out on screen with an apt casting.
It will be interesting to see how the film plays out in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu and who gets cast in them. With big production houses like Dharma and Fix Star Studios attached, the expectations are definitely high.
