The Tamil film industry is eagerly waiting for the release of Vikram. The film starring Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil is always in buzz, thanks to the eerie videos and photos they reveal.
But even before the trailer launch, a platform has bagged the OTT rights of the film for a dear price.
So the streaming giant Disney+Hotstar has grabbed the goldmine for all the languages. The film will release in not only Tamil but also in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam on the platform.
Although the details are never made public, the reports say that it has been sold for an exceptionally high price and seeing the buzz, it’s quite justified.
The trailer of the film is just a few days away as the grand event will take place on May 15th.
But ever since the announcement of the film, it has successfully maintained its buzz and is a great thing for the makers.
A film as great as Taanakkaran suffered on Disney+Hotstar because it was not dubbed in Hindi. Thankfully it is not the case here and seeing the subscriber base of Hotstar, will certainly help gain momentum for the film.
Regardless, the film will hit the theatres on June 3rd and that should be the priority of both makers and fans.
