Disney Plus Hotstar has a huge web series in the works under its label, Hotstar Specials. And if sources are to be believed, this big fat new Hotstar Specials show is called ‘Crush Point’. The show is set in the backdrop of the Indo-China war, making it a compelling war drama.
The cast of the upcoming web series is quite an eclectic one. For starters, Bollywood actor Abhay Deol is playing the lead in the show. Lending him support are Sumeet Vyas, Rohan Gandotra, Rochelle Rao and Vineet Sharma. At the rate he’s doing web series and OTT films, Abhay Deol seems closer to becoming the new darling of OTT content, much like his Bollywood compatriots, Radhika Apte and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
Crush Point is directed by Mahesh Manjrekar and produced by You Digital. The shoot of the show was almost complete, before Covid-19 stopped it in its tracks. A bit of patchwork is only left, before the show is complete. Post-production work is also almost complete.
Sumeet Vyas had shared several pics from the shoot of Crush Point earlier this year. Though he did not divulge specific details of the Hotstar Specials show, the pictures speak for themselves.
