Disney has dropped the brand new teaser trailer of its upcoming animated project, Strange World, starring Jake Gyllenhaal. The actor plays Ethan Clade, an ordinary farmer whose family has several skilled and well-known explorers. He, along with his family members, gets transported to a ‘strange’ new world. There, he encounters unique creatures and destinations. But an unknown place has its dangers. Apart from confronting his fears, Ethan will push his limits and bridge his differences with other family members in this forthcoming Disney adventure saga.
Disney has gained quite a reputation for bestowing unique and outstanding animated movies in the last few years. And Strange World is just another example of that scenario. The latest teaser trailer is crammed with colourful and vibrant visuals not to mention its creepy yet enticing ambience. No doubt that this Disney entry will become another spectacular watching experience for the viewers.
Don Hall has helmed ‘Strange World’. He is best known for co-directing Winnie the Pooh (2011), Big Hero 6 (2014), and Raya and the Last Dragon (2021). In addition to directing these animated flicks, Hall also helped in writing their screenplays. He also disclosed his inspiration for helming Strange World in an interview with Variety:
“I loved reading the old issues of pulps growing up. They were big adventures in which a group of explorers might discover a hidden world of ancient creatures. They’ve been a huge inspiration for ‘Strange World.'”
