WWE and OTT enthusiasts might already be aware that a documentary series revolving around Vince McMahon – former Chairman and CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. aka WWE, was in the works for the Netflix OTT platform. But now, it seems that the eagerly anticipated project is no longer moving forward at Netflix.
As per a report from TV host and Pro Wrestling enthusiast Denise Salcedo, the Netflix docuseries on Vince McMahon has been withdrawn from the programming spreadsheet at Netflix. The post further stated that the project was already in advanced stages of post-production. Moreover, many interviews were also done, and a massive amount was already spent on the docuseries. Although official confirmation by Netflix and WWE is still awaited in this regard.
Sources tell me that the Vince McMahon Netflix documentary has been pulled & is off the programming spreadsheet at Netflix. A source at Netflix confirmed it no longer being listed on their spreadsheet, another source at Netflix said “that shit’s out of here.” (1/2)

The update on Netflix’s Vince McMahon docuseries no longer being a part of the Netflix slate comes off the heels of the disturbing news from The Wall Street Journal. The report states that the hotshot wrestling promotor allegedly paid over $12 million to four women over a period of sixteen years as part of nondisclosure agreements to keep them quiet about their sexual relationships, and to thwart sexual-misconduct claims against him. Earlier, Vince McMahon had stepped down as WWE CEO after which his daughter Stephanie McMahon was made the interim CEO for the time being.
Netflix’s Vince McMahon documentary series project was first announced by WWE back in the year 2020. It was previously slated to start streaming on Netflix sometime in the year 2022. The apparently stalled docuseries would have supposedly shed light on several unknown aspects about Vince McMahon’s life such as growing up in a trailer park in North Carolina, etc. It would have been interesting to witness Vince McMahon’s life-story not just because of his image of an evil business magnate but the behind-the-scenes story of how he created a billion-dollar global empire, and more importantly, at what cost.
