Malayalam Superstar Fahadh Faasil has participated in multiple brilliant Malayalam films – ’22 Female Kottayam’, ‘Kumbalangi Nights’, ‘Maheshinte Prathikaaram’, ‘C U Soon’ to name a few. The actor continues to get better with each new role and has become a sought after actor in, not just the Malayalam film industry, but in the South-Indian region. However, apparently, the actor wants to play a different kind of movie role, a role he hasn’t been given very often – the role of a boy next door.
Fahadh Faasil’s latest film ‘Malik‘ will be released directly on Amazon Prime Video, next week and it will show him portray a very complex character. In fact, nearly every film, he has been a part of since the 2010s has always had him portraying various complex characters. And he has given justice in nearly all of them. So the idea of seeing him play a boy next door character on screen, is out of character for the actor; then again, the heart wants what the heart wants.
Fahadh has, however, played his dream role, in his very first film, in fact – ‘Kaiyethum Doorath’. This movie bombed hard in theatres and caused Fahadh to quit acting for several years before he decided to try the profession again. And thank God, he did. Of course, Fahadh is a much better actor now and could probably pull off more complex characters easily, so we think that a classic Malayalam romantic hero is a role he can easily pull off. But first, he has to be offered one.
