Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi’s mystery thriller film ‘Chehre’ is all set for its theatrical release after a long wait. Following the footsteps of Akshay Kumar’s ’Bell Bottom’, ‘Chehre’ will premiere in cinemas on 27th August 2021.
Earlier the film was scheduled for theatrical release on 9th April but got postponed due to the second wave of COVID-19. The makers and actors were all determined for ‘Chehre’ to have a big screen release and finally it’s about to happen. Moreover, post theatrical digital streaming rights for the film have been grabbed by Amazon Prime Video.
Helmed by Rumy Jafry, ‘Chehre’ is a suspense filled thriller drama where an elderly lawyer (Amitabh Bachchan) and his group of friends are all penchant for an unusual real life game. It’s not chess or cards but an intriguing mock trial that ends in delivering justice and this time they have decided the accused to be a business man (Emraan Hashmi), who happens to be at their place after getting stuck in a snowstorm.

The film’s trailer came out four months ago and the premise it offered looked intense and one that will keep the viewers hooked throughout. The gravitas that the actors have offered to their characters in ‘Chehre’ makes it a riveting watch.
‘Chehre’ has star-studded cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Emraan Hashmi, Krystle D’Souza, Rhea Chakrabarty, Siddhanth Kapoor, Annu Kapoor, Dhritiman Chatterjee and Raghubir Yadav in pivotal roles.
Anand Pandit Motion Pictures and Saraswati Entertainment Private Limited have produced ‘Chehre’ that has been written by Ranjit Kapoor. He has also penned down the screenplay and dialogues for the mystery-thriller film alongside director Rumy Jafry.
‘Chehre’ has been co-produced by WG CDR Ramesh Pulapka, Vaishal Shah, Mangat Pathak and Romanchak Arora and will release in theatres on 27th August, 2021.
