ZEE5 scored the big one when it snared the upcoming Bollywood film ‘Lost‘ for exclusive streaming on its platform as a ZEE5 original film. The trailer of the Yami Gautam starrer promises a gripping, edge-of-the-seat watch. ‘Lost’ premieres on ZEE5 on 17th February, 2023.
The thrilling trailer aside, there are several reasons why Lost is certain to be a win for ZEE5. We list out five of the most compelling reasons –
1. Yami Gautam –
This one is a no-brainer. Feisty actress Yami Gautam has proved that she’s one of most versatile and exciting actresses currently active in Bollywood. Her acting prowess in recent films, ‘A Wednesday’, ‘Dasvi’, ‘Uri’, among others, has catapulted the Yami Gautam to the league of actresses who know how to walk the talk. The trailer promises yet another blistering performance from Yami Gautam in Lost.
2. Director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury –
Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury made an impressive splash with his Amitabh Bachchan starrer ‘Pink’. The film brimmed with powerful dialogues and nuanced direction from the writer-director. ‘Pink’ made such an impact that its “No means no” dialogue has found a permanent place in Bollywood history and popular culture. We can’t wait to see what magic Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury conjures with the hard-hitting subject of ‘Lost’.
3. Rahul Khanna, Pankaj Kapur, and the rest of the stellar ensemble cast –
Lost brings one of our favourite, not to say deliciously elusive actors, Rahul Khanna, back on to our screens. The actor plays the menacing antagonist in Lost, along with an equally stellar ensemble cast, consisting of Pankaj Kapur, Neil Bhoopalam, Pia Bajpiee, Tushar Pandey, among others.
4. The hard-hitting subject –
Lost tackles the decidedly hard-hitting and deeply problematic subject of the scanty regard for the lives of the common man in India. A young theater activist disappears without a trace, prompting Yami Gautam’s journalist character to dig deeper into what is definitely a chilling and elaborate conspiracy.
5. Lost – the festival darling
Lost has received a rousing reception at every film festival it has screened at. The film premiered at the Chicago South Asian Film Festival, where it received a standing ovation. The film was chosen as the closing film at the prestigious Atlanta Indian Film Festival, among other accolades.
