Zee5 was much better in terms of success and deliverance this January. The platform gave some good hits and some important licensed films kept us engaged throughout the month.
How did they perform the whole month? Well, we’ll analyze it for you.
Original Film – Chhatriwali
Original Series – ATM, Jaanbaaz Hindustan Ke, Shikarpur
Licensed Films – Uunchai, Babe Bhangra Paunde Ne
Analysis
This month as we said was really good in terms of content and performance. Normally, the Zee5 content slate is filled with empty spaces and big posters but there were indeed promising titles.
The original film was Rakul Preet Singh’s Chhatriwali. The movie was based on a young woman who teaches sex education to children. The film apart from being decent is a great success in terms of views. Chhatriwali is a good example of how Zee5 should continue for the rest of the year.
The original series was a few but nothing competes against Jaanbaaz Hindustan Ke. Regina Cassandra is a phenomenally talented actress and she led the series very well. Also, the series is decent. ATM and Shikarpur were also released but they had little success in their bag.
The third category is that of licensed films. Uunchai was a phenomenal buzz on the platform. The film was kinda well received in the theaters and people were not tired of showering love on OTT as well.
Overall, things could have been a little better for Zee5 last month. We think 8 to be the perfect score for how Zee5 performed last month.
