Marvel at the moment is constantly upping its game. With Loki still streaming and the release of the much delayed and most anticipated “Black Widow”, less than a month away now, Marvel is gearing up for more. After Black Widow, the very next movie releasing from Marvel will be Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings have been making headlines ever since its inception and with its first trailer dropping sometime ago, on the lead actor Simu Liu’s birthday, it sent fans on a complete frenzy. Being the first Asian superhero movie coming from Marvel, with the trailer, the expectation of fans for Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings went up a notch higher.
But, like every other movie of theirs, Marvel didn’t leave us hanging with just one trailer for the upcoming movie. Marvel has now released the 2nd trailer, during the NBA Countdown. While the first trailer showed us the backstory of our lead hero and his father being The Mandarin, the second trailer gives fans a glimpse of how powerful the Ten Rings actually are. And by the looks of it, this seems intense and in every sense, completely magical.
The 2-minute long trailer revealed not only the power to expect from the Ten Rings but also revealed glimpses of those that might end up making their appearances in the movie. First and foremost, there is a scene underwater, which gives us a peek at a dragon. Yes, you heard us right, a dragon who actually is named The Great Protector, in the world of Marvel. Fans did get a hint of a dragon-like creature making its appearance in the movie, as Marvel released toys related to it.
Besides The Great Protector, Shang-Chi shows off his fighting skills as he tackles Death Dealer, swordfighters, and martial art masters who seem to defy the laws of physics all the time. But despite all these, one thing that caught people’s eyes was the scene at the end of the trailer. The scene shows a ring where a fish-like structure is going up against a sorcerer and fans’ research shows that it actually might be the return of Abomination. Yes, the Abomination last appeared in The Hulk and is set to make its appearance in the upcoming series She-Hulk. Also, the sorcerer many believe is none other than Dr. Strange’s very good friend Wong.
So, with Abomination’s supposed return, Wong and his magic, a probable appearance of The Great Protector, The Death Dealer, The Mandarin, The ten 10 rings along with our very own Shang-Chi, we can guarantee that is the upcoming movie will be nothing less than blast for every single Marvel fan slash Superhero fan out there. Also, with all this being said and knowing the fact that this story is highly based on Chinese culture, Marvel has assured everyone that it will portray everything related to Chinese culture and heritage with proper and well-researched appropriation.
