Some of the spotlight titles coming this week on Netflix India are Serious Men (2020), The Boys In The Band (2020), Wentworth Season 8 (2020), Good Morning, Verônica Season 1 (2020) and David Attenborough: A Life On Our Planet (2020).

Tuesday (29th September) –
Michelle Buteau: Welcome To Buteaupia (2020) –
A Netflix stand-up comedy where Michelle Buteau will make you laugh with her real talk on relationships, parenthood, cultural differences and the government workers who adore her.
Wednesday (30th September) –
The Boys In The Band (2020) –
Based on the 1968 namesake play, this gay Netflix drama has been directed by Joe Mantello. A birthday party in New York in 1968, turns upside down when a surprise visitor interrupts the gathering of seven gay men.
American Murder: The Family Next Door (2020) –
A true crime investigative documentary that uses raw, firsthand footage to examine the disappearance of Shanann Watts and her children and the terrible events that followed.
Sorry To Bother You (2018) –
A dark comedy sci-fi movie that follows a telemarketer, who on the advice of a colleague, easily climbs the ladder of corporate success but only to land in corporate and moral chaos.
Wentworth (Season 8) (2020) –
This gritty prison drama has already made a name for itself and this latest season will take the intensity to next level with some new and some unexpected arrivals in the prison.

Poacher (2018) –
A thrilling short film directed by Tom Whitworth follows a desperate farmer who steals illicit ivory from a group of international terrorists and lands himself in a big trouble.
Baxu And The Giants (2019) –
A Short Film about rhino poaching triggering social change in a village in rural Namibia, seen through the eyes of a 9 year old girl.
Masameer Classics (Season 1) (2013) –
An adult animation series that uses dark comedy and eccentric characters to offer a humorous view of the changes and cultural shifts taking place in Saudi Arabia from 2011-2019.
The Little Stranger (2018) –
A gothic drama based on the eponymous book by Sarah Waters and directed by Lenny Abrahamson. When a doctor is asked to visit to treat an ill maid at a magnificent manor home, he discovers some supernatural secret that connects to his past.
Thursday (1st October) –
Carmen Sandiego (Season 3) –
An animation series where Carmen, a master thief, travels the world and uses her skills to foil V.I.L.E’s evil plans.
Familiar Wife (Season 1) –
A fantasy Korean series including time travel with an emotional, romantic touch.
Wonder (2017) –
A heartfelt inspirational story about a boy with facial differences facing the outside world.
Deepwater Horizon (2016) –
Based on the 2010 catastrophe that occurred at the eponymous oil rig and the actions that led to it.
Syriana (2005) –
Starring George Clooney and Matt Damon, it is a story of the greed and corruption in the global quest for oil.
The Losers (2010) –
A group of disvowed CIA operatives band together to bring down their betrayers in this Chris Evans, Zoe Saldana starrer film.
American Assassin (2017) –
Follows the story of a grad student who seeks vengeance after a loss from a terrorist attack and gets noticed by CIA.
Child 44 (2015) –
Featuring Tom Hardy and Gary Oldman the film is set in the 1950s Russia where a former war hero investigates a serial killer.
My Big Fat Greek Wedding (2002) –
A rom-com where a Greek girl from a strict family falls in love with a non-Greek man.
Kin (2018) –
A sci-fi adventure filled action drama with an otherworldly weapon and a secret war.
Good Morning, Verônica (season 1) –
A Brazilian show that follows an underused cop trying to solve mysterious cases.
Space Jam (1996) –
A kids movie where Bugs Bunny and his friends coax Michael Jordan out of retirement to play basketball for them.
World Trade Center (2006) –
An Oliver Stone film starring Nicolas Cage following the rescue operation after the tragic collapse of World Trade Center.

A feel good kids movie featuring Julia Roberts where a friendly spider tries to save a pig from becoming the dinner.

Oktoberfest: Beer and Blood (Season 1) (2020) –
A Netflix series set in 1900s in Munich, where two rival family breweries get into a dirty fight to build a beer hall that will dominate the city’s lucrative Oktoberfest.
Journey Of An African Colony (Season 1) (2018) –
Based on the book by the host of the docuseries, Olasupo Shasore, it is about the untold stories of the unsung heroes who fought for Nigeria’s independence.
All Because Of You (Pasal Kau!) (2020) –
A romantic Malaysian Netflix film that follows two co-workers who work in a hotel, where one of them gets trapped in a hostage scheme and finds love in an unlikely place.
Friday (2nd October) –
Serious Men (2020) –
Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s second venture with Netflix after Sacred Games, Serious Men follows the story of a wily poor dalit man who tries to con the world by portraying his dim-witted son as a genius.
A Toot Toot Cory Carson Halloween (2020) –
Cory, Chrissy and Freddie go on a hunt to find king-sized candy bars for Halloween to the spooky side of the town.
Emily In Paris (season 1) –
Emily Cooper lands her dream job in Paris where she juggles her adventurous life between her work, friends and romance.
You’ve Got This (2020) –
A Netflix romantic comedy, this film follows a happily married couple – an ad creative and a successful executive. But things take a turn when the husband wishes to be a father while the wife is on rise and brings someone new home.
Song Exploder (Volume 1) (2020) –
Based on Hrishikesh Hirway’s hit podcast that started back in 2014, this Netflix series is about musicians and how they take apart their songs, and piece by piece, share the story of how they were made.
Ólòturé (2020) –
Set in Nigeria, Oloture follows the story of a young, naive journalist who goes undercover as a prostitute to expose human trafficking. In this world of exploitation and violence she finds herself in a position, from where returning seems impossible.
Turkish Dance School (2017) –
This feel-good romantic comedy is about a woman trying to cope after attempting suicide. She meets an aspiring doctor who is very interested in her efforts to move on through dance.
Dick Johnson Is Dead (2020) –
A documentary directed by Kristen Johnson who stages her father’s death in inventive and comical ways, to prepare them both to face the inevitable.
A Chaster Marriage (2016) –
When a man obsessed with football has to forcibly get married to his childhood friend, he makes various attempts to get rid of her so that he could be with the one he loves.
Vampire vs The Bronx (2020) –
A horror comedy directed by Oz Rodriguez, this Netflix film follows three daring kids who belong to the Bronx neighbourhood and how they protect their community when a group of vampire invaders arrive.
The Binding (2020) –
This Italian horror Netflix film follows a woman who goes to visit her fiancé’s mother in southern Italy. Little did she know that she would have to fight the mysterious and malevolent curse intent on claiming her daughter.

Pat a Pat Como (Season 1) (2016) –
This Korean kids show follows Como and his pals who help understand the importance of being considerate and helpful.
Comopop (Season 1) (2020) –

Sunday (4th October) –
David Attenborough: A Life On Our Planet (2020) –
An environmental Netflix documentary starring the legendary David Attenborough where he recounts his life, and the evolutionary history of life on Earth, to grieve the loss of wild places and offer a vision for the future.
