We had reported in the beginning of February that WarnerMedia is committed to ensuring that maximum markets in the world get to watch their much awaited Justice League Snyder Cut at the same time as in the USA. Now, around ten days ago, Justice League Snyder Cut creator Zack Snyder announced the same thing on his Twitter account. The announcement made millions of DC and Zack Snyder fans around the world a very happy bunch. Zack Snyder’s Justice League releases on March 18 on HBO Max in the US, and on other WarnerMedia platforms in select regions of the world.
So now that that’s taken care of, let’s explore when and where Justice League Snyder Cut is likely to stream in India.
WarnerMedia has a symbiotic partnership with Disney Plus Hotstar in India. All of its HBO content is available to watch on Disney Plus Hotstar. Hence, if it strikes a good deal with the top Indian streamer, then we might watch Zack Snyder’s Justice League dropping on Disney Plus Hotstar in India.
Amazon Prime Video:
WarnerMedia has an exclusive long-term content deal with Amazon Prime Video, which brings all the latest and biggest content from the Warner Bros. library to Amazon Prime Video in India. To top it, for the whole of last year and this year, Prime Video India is shelling out big money to acquire buzzy titles. And right now, Zack Snyder’s Justice League is the buzziest title around! There’s a brighter than bright chance that Amazon Prime Video will grab Zack Snyder’s Justice League streaming rights in India.
Netflix
Quite a lot of WarnerMedia content is available on Netflix. Though it doesn’t have a content distribution deal as such with Netflix, the streaming giant will be ready to shell out big money for the Indian slice of Justice League Snyder Cut. Netflix thus has an outside chance to bag the streaming rights of the buzzy film.
Lionsgate Play IN
The latest entrant in the Indian streaming space, Lionsgate Play IN scored a big hit when it brought Hulu and BBC’s Normal People to Indian shores. The fledgling streamer is exploring ways and means to establish a firm foothold in India. Can it pull off another coup by grabbing Justice League Snyder Cut right from under the noses of the aforementioned three biggies? If it does, it’ll be a touchdown for the streaming platform.
It’s very likely that Zack Snyder’s Justice League will stream in India on any of these platforms.

Now that the ‘Where’ is out of the way, let’s discuss the ‘When’ of Zack Snyder’s Justice League coming to Indian streaming.
The official release date for Justice League Snyder Cut is 18th March on HBO Max in the US, and some other platforms across the globe. It is obvious that WarnerMedia will try and bring the four-hour-long film to maximum regions of the world on the same day as its official release date – that is 18th March. The maximum it will delay in other remaining regions will be a week – hence, 25th March, or to make it a Friday release, 26th March.
WarnerMedia will be better off if it streams the much awaited multiple-superhero movie all over the globe at the same time. This thinking stems from the fact that Justice League Snyder Cut will be a prime target for piracy. Within minutes of its release, pirated versions will make their way to the rest of the world.
India is anyways notorious for streaming pirated versions of any and every content available online. It is also a huge market for DC content. It will be a win-win for both Indian viewers and WarnerMedia if the latter comes through on its word to stream Justice League Snyder Cut in India along with the rest of the world.
Our bet: Zack Snyder’s Justice League will premiere in India on its original release date, that is 18th March.
