The much-awaited Harry Potter 20th Anniversary special reunion show, ‘Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts’ finally has a streaming platform in India! The special show will premiere exclusively on Prime Video, on 1st January 2022, precisely at 2:30 pm India time.
The reunion show, part of WarnerMedia’s extravagant 20th anniversary celebrations for the beloved Harry Potter film franchise, is to stream on HBO Max in the USA. WarnerMedia had promised Harry Potter fans across the world that it would definitely make the show available for viewing globally, through tie-ups with locally available streaming platforms in each region.
The content behemoth has come good on their promise, just in time as promos for the show have taken off in right earnest. Last evening, HBO Max and Warner Bros. launched the first trailer for ‘Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts’. The super successful film franchise is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the release of its first film this year. ‘Harry Potter And The Sorcerer’s Stone’ released in theatres on 16th November, 2001.
Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return To Hogwarts is a reunion event of sorts. All the major cast members of the Harry Potter series of movies come together to celebrate the beloved franchise, share interesting anecdotes, reminisce the making of the epic films and a lot more. In-depth interviews and informal chats among the cast will make up the bulk of the show.
Slated to attend the event are the three leads, Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) and Emma Watson (Hermione Granger). Also present will be Chris Columbus, director of the first two Harry Potter films, along with primary cast members Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom), Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix), Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid), Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy), Gary Oldman (Sirius Black), Imelda Staunton (Dolores Umbridge), James and Oliver Phelps (Fred and George Weasley), Mark Williams (Arthur Weasley), Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley), Alfred Enoch (Dean Thomas), Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood), and Ian Hart (Quirinus Quirrell) among others.
Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts is produced by Warner Bros. Unscripted Television in association with Warner Horizon at the iconic Warner Bros. Studio Tour London—The Making of Harry Potter. The special is executive produced by Casey Patterson of Casey Patterson Entertainment (A West Wing Special to Benefit When We All Vote) and Pulse Films (Beastie Boys Story).
