Hey guys, it’s been a while since we had a “Hidden Gems” article released. With us shifting our article structure in the last few weeks, we haven’t had the time to decide on a different day to release this series of articles. We have decided to release this article series Sundays from now on and we apologize to the people who were reading this series. After almost three weeks of hiatus, we have chosen to talk about the Netflix streaming Icelandic thriller series – ‘Trapped‘.
Imagine living in a remote town where the only way in and out is to take a ferry through a fjord (a sea submerged deep valley in between cliffs, usually). A place as remote as that has a limited number of people and they would be known among each other. There is a ferry containing passengers coming to the town and it is trying to reach the settlement before a major storm hits. All of a sudden, a brutally murdered body turns up on the shore of this town with the storm hours away from hitting the town. With no help from the mainland (due to the major storm), an understaffed & inexperienced police force and nature itself against him, this is the situation that the local police chief, Andri Olafsson finds himself in. He only has a few hours before the storm hits the town and destroys all the evidence and possible clues left behind by the perpetrator.
Now if this isn’t enough to get you guys interested in this series, we don’t know what will. So far, there has been two seasons released, with a third season expected to come out later this year. This one of a kind mystery series is a must-watch thriller, so go check it out on Netflix (as mentioned previously).
