Netflix just shared a short 50-sec teaser for the new season of Stranger Things, and it has generated a massive buzz within a couple of hours of it being aired on the streaming platform. After all, the teaser confirms what fans of the show have been hoping and praying for since like forever – that Hopper is alive and well, and returning in Season 4.
The teaser is titled ‘From Russia With Love’, and it shows the narrative set in snowy Russia, complete with typically outfitted Russian military men keeping watch with menacing guns in their hands, men working like slaves in the biting cold, building railroads, and finally – one of those men revealed to be Hopper!
The teaser has certainly got everyone excited for the upcoming Season. It was believed that Hopper had been killed in a fire at the end of Season 3. A post-credit scene had, however, hinted at the return of Hopper in the next season. And return he does, far away from Hawkins, in the harsh climes of Russia.
Nothing else is revealed in the teaser, much to the disappointment of fans – not even a tentative release date.
Matt and Ross Duffer, creators of Stranger Things said in a prepared statement to the media, “We’re excited to officially confirm that production on Stranger Things 4 is now underway, and even more excited to announce the return of Hopper! Although it’s not all good news for our ‘American’; he is imprisoned far from home in the snowy wasteland of Kamchatka, where he will face dangers both human… and other. Meanwhile, back in the states, a new horror is beginning to surface, something long buried, something that connects everything.”
Well, now that we know what we know, we just can’t wait for Stranger Things 4 to premiere. Watch this space at Binged.com for further updates on this story.
