Mark Grayson will return and it’s confirmed now. Yes, ‘Invincible’ fans you heard it right. Amazon Prime Video’s acclaimed superhero animated series is renewed for 2nd and 3rd season just before the premiere of the season 1 finale which will go on air today, 30th April.
Earlier yesterday the Invincible’s creator Robert Kirkman himself, took to Twitter to share the news with the fans. Kirkman expressed his excitement and joy in a separate statement saying, “The comic book is truly a love letter to a genre that Cory Walker (Artist of Invincible comic) and I grew up reading and loving, and it’s been a gratifying journey to watch our characters come to life again through the animated series. We’re beyond excited to continue this story for at least two more seasons.”
Those who are unfamiliar with Invincible, it’s a story of Mark Grayson, a 17-years old teenager who has a normal life like other teenagers but with a Superhero Father, Omni-man who is essentially the most powerful superhero in the world. Now things go haywire when Mark discovers his superpowers and gradually learns about his father’s heroic secrets which may not be as heroic as they seem.
Invincible has stellar voice cast including Steven Yeun as Mark Grayson, J.K.Simmons as Omni-man along with Sandra Oh, Seth Rogen, Gillian Jacobs, Andrew Rannells, Zazie Beetz, Mark Hamill, Walton Goggins, Jason Mantzoukas, Zachary Quinto, Mahershala Ali and many more.
Invincible is produced by Skybound whereas Robert Kirkman, Simon Racioppa, David Alpert, and Catherine Winder are donning the executive producer’s hat.
Amazon Studios is also hopeful and pretty happy with the reception which Invincible got and the Co-Head of Television at Amazon Studios, Vernon Sanders said, “Robert’s no-holds-barred storytelling coupled with a first-class voice cast delivered on fans’ wildest expectations and we’re thrilled to be giving them more Invincible.”
