The final trailer for Paramount Pictures’ upcoming post-apocalyptic horror film ‘A Quiet Place’ dropped a few hours ago and it promises to be as thrilling as its predecessor. The first part of the film series – ‘A Quiet Place’ was written and directed by the movie’s main star John Krasinski himself and he has returned to helm the sequel for which he wrote the screenplay for. This film is expected to come out in cinema halls worldwide by the end of May, so check out this trailer at the end of this article.
The trailer starts off with a flashback to give us a look at the (in-film) world before the aliens depicted in the first film came to Earth. Starting off eerily without any sound before the alien crash land, the trailer picks up the tempo, especially the score, as the trailer showcases a variety of montages. After the death of her husband, Evelyn decides to find other people with her children so that they can help whoever they can, in this era of crisis.
They meet Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou’s characters, who at this point have lost all hope for things to ever become better again. Both actors are brilliant in the few scenes that the trailer shows us, while Emily Blunt and Millicent Simmonds look like they are two women on a mission (which they are). Every squeak and whimper in the video is nerve-wracking and we can’t wait for the film to finally come out so we can watch it. The global pandemic denied us the movie last year and this year twice, so the end of May can’t come fast enough.
‘A Quiet Place: Part II’ will release in theatres around the world on May 28th 2021. After 45 days from its theatrical release, Paramount Pictures is planning to take the movie to their online streaming platform – “Paramount+”. Since this OTT is not available in India, we expect Paramount Pictures to team up with one of the bigger OTT platforms that are currently running in India, to release the movie digitally.
