Latest to join the news is that Ranveer Singh might be the next person to play the role of mighty King of Lanka, Raavan.
No, no we aren’t talking about Om Raut’s Adipurush, that is starring Saif Ali Khan as Lord Lankesh, or even Madhu Manten’s untitled Ramayana project with Deepika Padukone in talks to play Sita, . The movie we are talking about is “Sita: The Incarnation”, which was in the news some time ago. The makers seemed to have already found their Sita in Kareena Kapoor as she has been the one who supposedly is playing the role and now it looks like Ranveer Singh will be the brand new addition to the film.
Right now, though nothing has been confirmed, it has only been reported that Ranveer Singh is approached for the movie. There are also talks that besides Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt is also in talks for the lead role. If everything goes right, this might be the first time Ranveer Singh and Kareena Kapoor will star in a film. Going with bold characters that Ranveer has played magnificently over the years, the role of Raavan is definitely right up his alley and something that he can execute perfectly.
He already has portrayed the negative role of Alauddin Khilji brilliantly in Padmavaat and if he opts for Raavan, this will definitely be something to look out for. The movie is being written and planned by none other than writer KV Vijayendra Prasad, who is credited as the writer for movies like Baahubali: The Beginning, Baahubali: The Conclusion, Magadheera, Bajrangi Bhaijaan among others. The movie is being planned as a pan Indian film with it releasing in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
The movie will be directed by Alaukik Desai, while Manoj Muntashir is going ahead with the dialogues and lyrics for the upcoming movie. Human Being Studios is behind the productions of the film. The makers have stated, this movie will be made in a scale that can match Baahubali. It is also mentioned that the movie will be a complete visual treat for the audience as the VFX that’s being implemented for the film will take people on a whole different visual ride.
With these A-List stars in talks for Sita: The Incarnation, it will be interesting to see who the makers go for, for the different characters in the movie.
